“The achievement of this award is a true reflection of Brick Fabrications commitment to excellence. Investors in Excellence has provided us with a user-friendly framework that enables us to continually improve our business for the good of our customers and employees” Managing Director, Nigel Watkins.

The Investors in Excellence Standard is a prestigious mark of excellence awarded to those organisations that demonstrate a high standard of all-round business performance. It is a very testing Standard covering all key business areas including leadership, people and customer results – but its scope makes it a powerful improvement tool.

Ian Nield, Chief Executive of Investors in Excellence, said “We’ve been hugely impressed with the attitude and commitment shown by Brick Fabrication Ltd to achieving the Investors in Excellence Standard. They have demonstrated a clear focus of continuous improvement and are effectively using the Standard to deliver better and more efficient services to customers.”

It is less than twelve months since Brick Fabrication started thinking about IIP as a means to change the culture in the business and make the most of the enormous talent that the company’s people have. This fit perfectly with our stated aim of ‘employing great people and developing them to release their full potential.’

Trudy Morgan, Commercial Manager who lead the project said ‘I am so proud of the hard work and effort put in by everyone at Brick Fab to achieve IIP at our first attempt, not only did we meet the standard in all areas but were well ahead in many. Working toward IIP was undoubtedly one of the things that allowed the company to double our sales in 2010.’
