Brick Specials

Our Brick Specials are produced by the 'Cut & Bond' method and conform to BS4729. This is a widely used and accepted method of producing specials. 

The process has certain advantages over other methods of manufacture, such as:-

• Same colour as standard bricks.
• Same texture as standard bricks.
• Speed of production which is normally 3 - 5 days but can be as short as 24 hrs by arrangement.
• Cost. 

The Brick Fabrication Ltd manufacturing process is a combination of high tech machinery, which give the accuracy required and traditional hand craft to achieve the aesthetic appeal of special bricks. the process is as follows:-

1. Brick are collected from site to ensure a perfect match.
2. The bricks are cut into the seperate components that make up the special on modern CNC cutting machines to ensure accuracy and consistency.
3. The bricks are dryed in a gas fired oven.
4. The special is hand bonded by our craftsmen, using a coloured two part epoxy glue that gives a bond that is often stronger than the brick itself.
5. Once the joint has cured the specials pass through Quality Assurance, are packed onto pallets, each pallet is weighed and an address label fixed.
6. The completed specials are delivered back to site.
