Flat Gauge Arch

Flat Gauge Arch

A typical flat arch suitable for all kinds of openings. Flat Gauge arches usually have a Brick and Bat pattern and between 3 to 5 courses high. Standard joints have 10mm spacing, and require pointing on site. These arches are available on any type of structural or non structural backing.

Semi Raised Flat Gauge Arch

Semi Raised Flat Gauge Arch

Like the Flat Gauge arch, but with an arched rise along the bottom edge, whilst the top of the arch remains flat. These arches also have the option for the rise to be solid with an infill panel of brick, painted, prepared for render or PVC filled to match a window or door frame. Infills allow the bottom of the arch to remain flat for a quick and easy installation.

Developer Arch

Developer Arch

Developer Arches are a cost effective way of adding prefabricated arches to any building. Unlike the Flat Gauge arches, the voussoirs are cut with parallel and equal widths in a Brick and Bat pattern. These arches come with Bath keystone slips and can be supplied on any structral or non-structral backing. The flat and square shape of the Developer arch also makes it quick and easy to put brickwork around it.

Segmental Arch

Segmental Arch

Segmental arches are made up of a number of identically and slightly angled bricks which form the shape of the arch when assembled. These arches typically have a rise of 75mm or 150mm (1 or 2 courses). These arches can be produced in any brick pattern and height. The rise allows for Infill panel options to suit and match any opening.

Semi Circular Arch

Semi Circular Arch

Semi Circular arches were the first large and lasting arches built by the Romans. Today they provide a very traditional and strong feature to any build. Like Segmental arches each brick is the same, but the shape is continued round to form a semi-circle. These provide the option for a large Infill area. Without an Infill, the arch has the option to have a faced soffit instead.

Restoration Arch

Restoration Arch

Restoration arches, as the name suggests, are often used in the restoration of old houses, where an original arch is being replaced or a new arch is required to match the existing arches in the area. These arches are typically 290mm to 365mm high Brick and Bat pattern, with finely pointed 3mm joints. These joints can be pointed on site or in production by Brick Fabrication for a finished product.
