Block Lintels

Our block lintels (also known as trough lintels) provide an innovative option to construction companies using paint grade/ fair faced blockwork in commercial developments for creating a clear opening in blockwork. The simple installation of a block lintel gives a pleasing clean appearance in blockwork for contracts that call for an untreated block finish.

The block lintel is a self supporting lintel made from concrete blocks with a groove cut along the length of the block which is filled with high strength concrete and appropriate reinforcing steel bar. The appearance is of continuous blockwork from both sides, which matches the surrounding blockwork.

Block lintels by their nature are only available in full block lengths, with a minimum length of a 3 block lintel (1340mm wide, for an opening of up to 900mm).
